Where are you located?

We are located at 56 Irving Place in the heart of New York City's Gramercy Park neighborhood. Our location can exclusively be recognized by a small teacup engraved plaque on the building's façade.

Lady Mendl’s is housed in a Georgian brownstone which is only accessible up a flight of 10 stairs. We unfortunately do not have an elevator.

When are you open?

Our hours of operation are Wednesday through Friday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. 

Can I just have tea and scones?

At this time, we are only offering our $89 per person 5-course prix fixe menu. We do not offer a la carte options.

Can you accommodate my dietary restriction?

We do our best to accommodate allergies and aversions. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate vegan, egg-free, dairy-free, or gluten-free guests.

Is there a time limit on my reservation?

Reservations for up to 3 people are allotted 90 minutes. Reservations for 4 or 5 people are allotted 2 hours.

Are children allowed?

Children under the age of 12 are not permitted.

Do you have a dress code?

There is no formal dress code at Lady Mendl’s. Many people do like to dress up for the occasion but please wear whatever is comfortable for you.

Our space is small, so we do not allow coats, large bags, outside decorations, or gift opening in the tea salon. We offer a complimentary coat check upon check-in.

What is your cancellation policy?

Reservations that are not cancelled within 3 hours prior to reservation time or guests that do not show up for a reservation, Lady Mendl's will charge a $25 late notice fee. Please make a reservation on Opentable or email us at frontdesk@ladymendlsteasalon.com with any questions or concerns.

When do reservations open?

Reservations open 30 days in advance at midnight. Reservations are strongly recommended for the tea salon as we cannot always accommodate walk ins.
